Food is a pretty big deal to me, maybe not even food itself so much as information about food.  I try to eat a diet that's somewhere between a Weston A. Price "traditional" and a lax paleo.  Cooking is a skill I'm still working on, I think I've just recently come up with a good formula for meals.

Caloric base: usually potatoes or rice (or sweet potatoes for myself cause these other crazy people in this house don't like sweet potatoes!)

Protein: meat, eggs, or occasionally just beans

Vegetable round-outs: whatever is available!  throw it in there!

Spice as necessary (easier said than done, bacon fat is a helper here) and hey oh!  It's a meal.  It's taken me almost 5 years to get this far.
